Welcome to our School

learningtreeBraywood C of E First School is a small Victorian school steeped in history. We are situated on the outskirts of Windsor and Maidenhead in the district of Oakley Green; a leafy, rural location with open farmland and paddocks on all sides. Our school caters for approximately 80 children between 5-9 years of age from quite a wide catchment area.

At Braywood we have an excellent reputation for both academic standards and our inclusive, nurturing and warm learning environment. We provide a strong educational foundation and an enjoyment of learning so that children develop a love of learning that will last them a lifetime.

Braywood has a strong ‘family’ atmosphere where parents are actively encouraged to participate in the life of the school.

We are a Church of England Controlled School and as such have close links to the Parish of Bray.  We celebrate the Christian values which foster courteous, considerate and well-mannered children for whom we are renowned. Although a Christian based school we welcome and respect all religious denominations.

The School was built in 1857 and is situated on the Oakley Green Road between Windsor and Maidenhead in a country area with open farmland on all sides. The school is in the parish of Bray and has strong Links with St. Michael’s Church, Bray.

Summer Holidays

The school will close for the summer holidays on Thursday 22nd July, with pupils due to return to school on Monday 6th September.

We would like to wish all our parents a very happy summer holiday and look forward to seeing the children refreshed after their break in September.
